Adib, broncio vs rsv

Alhamdulillah after 3 days in Kpmc ward Adib dah boleh discharge this afternoon. Alhamdulillah syukur sangat. Intially he was diagnosed with brochitis but after some sample test performed by his Paed, it was actually RSV; respiratory synctial virus.
Here's some info with regard.

Credit to google. Hehe.

RSV is the most common germ that causes lung and airway infections in infants and young children. Most infants have had this infection by age 2. Outbreaks of RSV infections most often begin in the fall and run into the spring.

The infection can occur in people of all ages. The virus spreads through tiny droplets that go into the air when a sick person blows their nose, coughs, or sneezes.

You can catch RSV if:

  • A person with RSV sneezes, coughs, or blows their nose near you.
  • You touch, kiss, or shake hands with someone who is infected by the virus.
  • You touch your nose, eyes, or mouth after you have touched something contaminated by the virus, such as a toy or doorknob.
RSV often spreads quickly in crowded households and day care centers. The virus can live for a half an hour or more on hands. The virus can also live for up to 5 hours on countertops and for several hours on used tissues.

The following increase the risk for RSV:

  • Attending day care
  • Being near tobacco smoke
  • Having school-aged brothers or sisters
  • Living in crowded conditions
So there it is.

So as per advised by paed, adib have to be warded (best option) and take the nebulizer 3 hourly for 24 hours then continues to 4 hourly for another 24 hours + percussion sess with the physiotherapist as his lungs and phlegm were not cooperative huhu. Just this morning paed loosen the neb period to 6 hourly and she also gives us 3 options; which is very typically dr afifah and thats why we like her :-). We chose to discharge of today and continue with inhaler at home until friday. And come back for a follow up on saturday. Yay! Finally alhamdulillah. So overall, 14x neb, 3x physio. Tapi adib ni active je. Takde pun demam n nangis. But he's a bit crancky sometimes perhaps he's bored to just stay indoor. Ye la sape tak bosan kan. Hehe.

And oh he's awake now. Till later.

Its you adib. Yeah.

Haha this is funny. This was taken by someone; apparently he is a doctor here while 3 of us are downstairs waiting for Adib to meet the physiotherapist.

Sara & Adib @Cyberview Resort & Spa

And yes we are here! For 2 nights. Pre-book on hotel's website for Superior Chalet but been told during the check-in that Superior chalet is not available at the moment so guess what, our room has been upgraded to Executive Deluxe for no extra charge. How cool was that! Yeah I know I know. Hehe. The room is huge and super nice and it has a four-poster bed. Super like. And our chalet is only few steps away from the pool. Rezeki Adib n Sara. Its Adib's first outing and first hotel stays. Anyway I am so gonna enjoy our stay here in Cyberview. Had bfast earlier at Verandah Restaurant and strolling around the resort and surveying the pool area. Sara had her 1st round of swimming with MM while I bathed Adib in our room. Later will go to IOI putrajaya for lunch.  For now, lets cherish the moment and enjoy the photos while i'm joining the kids and hubsy for a nap. Later. Hope you guys have a splendid school break too.

Ordinary Spa at Penjara Wanita Kajang

Ordinary ke? Tak lah ordinary sangat. It is just a typical Balinese concept Spa. But what makes it ordinary is the location and the Spa therapist itself. It is the Penjara Wanita Kajang Spa I was mentioning about :) Went to these spa last week because I need a back massage so badly. Luckily I have an old friend working at Penjara Wanita Kajang as warden. I did asked her the procedure and such. She offered to make a reservation for me instead. Easy peasy :). So, I just went there and waited for her to bring me to the spa. I did not take photo at the spa (we are allowed to take pictures but I forgot to do so. Excited sangat). It is a beautiful place and the therapists were very nice to us. I had a splendid time and enjoyed the 1 hour full body massage of mine.My therapist was a 30-yrs-old Sulawesi-an and she's also a mother to a 6-yrs-old daughter.  The price is way too cheaper compared to the common spa. I paid RM40 for full body massage (traditional massage) an...

..

I am excited to update this dusty blog. But what shall I write about? - I don't know. Being in the third trimester - 36 weeks to be exact is no kidding. I guess when you're aging and pregnant you feel lethargic very easily. Maybe I am not FIT enough? But still, you have to deal with what you have to do at work and home instead. You could not complain much. Errands have to be run. I still cook for dinner, almost every day. Laundry, no exception. Cleaning, yes but once in a while though. Sara has been busy. I think she's still adapting to her new schedule. Previous 2-3 weeks was hectic for her. Despite a tight schedule at school, she had to attend numbers of rehearsal sessions for her first and second #TARI show. She looks tired, or so I think. But I can see that she had a pleasant time. You know the feeling when you've got the chance to do things that you fond of. That's more like it. Counting days to Adib's 3rd birthday. It's on April 28th. May this ...
