Our Singapore Trip

Urgh, I knew it. I knew that photo editing is time consuming. After taking about 1 hour of editing, I finally done with this one. Do credit me, I am doing this for you, dear lovely readers. #perasan.

Ok, just so you know, we (MM, sara and me) went to the city of the lion last week. We depart from KLIA via Jetstar on morning 24th Jan 2013 and return home on the night of 26th. The trip was apparently a post-exam treat for both MM and I and also, to fulfill our must-fly-twice-a-year wish list. Hehe, exagerating, no? No! =P

We booked our flight ticket, hotel and USS ticket month earlier. Well we are always good in planning when it come to this, I must say :)

We took early flight to Singapore because we have a tight schedule of plan. Okay we planned to go to Merlion, Marina Sand Bay (56th floor) and Clark Quay but we run out of time so we postpone Clark Quay to the next day.

Upon departure, KLIA
We chose hotel which is accessible and easy to get food (halal food). So we opt for Landmark Village Hotel at Bugis Street area. It is just 5 minutes walk from Bugis MRT Stn and few steps from the famous ZamZam Restaurant. Well, ok ZamZam is famous for their jumbo size murtabak and biryani. We've tried both of them, and it was not bad. Ok la.. at least ada juga nasik kan. So basically food-wise in Singapore was not really a big problem, unless kalau nak makan dekat area town tu susah jugak la because not many halal restaurant can be found, or maybe I didn't try harder to find one? Maybe, so no offense. During our 3-days trip, we had nasi ayam, beriani, steak and nasik lemak too!

56th Floor here we come!

Water show at Marina Sand Bay. Oh did u notice LV boutique?

Oh in case you're curious, the reason we decided to travel by flight was we wanted to feel like a real traveler. So we have to use whatever public transportation and such. Singapore is known by it's MRT train efficiency. We're used to train back in Japan. To be frank, I have no issue to opt for train as my main transport if I am in Singapore or Japan. It's super efficient. It won't delay. And the beauty of it you can plan you journey perfectly. You won't be late.
And, for note, please be extra careful when using the escalator. It is 3x faster than what we have in Malaysia.  And if you don't plan to be fast, stay on the left side to allow other people to 'climb' the escalator. Yes, they walk fast. Just like the Japanese.

Second day, we went to Universal Studio. It was fun, but I think will be more fun if Sara is 120cm tall or more. Because most of the rides are for adult and 'bigger' toddler. But anyhow, we managed to catch most of the 'ride'. We watched Waterworld (Sara takut tembak2 and hug us tightly), 4D movie at Far Far Away, Madagascar, the adventure ride at Egypt (forgotten the name), ape ntah yang pusing2 dekat transformer, and off course the merry go round. And we had lunch at Asia Foodcourt. We stayed at USS until 5 pm. Really tiring, I must say because the little girl refuse to walk. Nak dukung je. Takut dengan duck and roller coaster katanya. Ish.

Sara suka betty the boop tu. She keep saying how org tu buat "muah" dekat dia :)
USS

Sentosa Island
From USS, we reached hotel around 7pm. Terus pegi tapau nasi beriani dekat ZamZam. Lepak bilik. Too tired for a night view at Clark Quay. Postpone lagi :)
We decided to talk a walk to Bugis Street that night. Just 5 minutes walk from our hotel. The place is more less like our petaling street kot, but peniaga kat situ not really aggressive. So we ended buying few Singapore t-shirt for ourselves. Sara got her I <3 SG too. And she loves it! She wants to wear it straight away (at the hotel). Buat pakai tido. Ayak, blom basuh pun baju tu.

So the last day, we wake up early, tell the hotel staff that we're gonna check out late around 6pm. They charged us SGD100 for the late check out. Ok, reasonable.

So we proceed our plan with Clark Quay and Orchard road. Hmm, naik river cruise for 40mins. Ok la. But I think the night view is more pleasant. Ceh, tak puas hati jugak.
And orchard, for me, rasanya tak pergi pun takpe. And besides, I have nothing to buy there. And not much penny to splurge, after all.

Singapore River Cruise. The 40mins cruising

Bandar dalam air, impressive huh?

Sara & Adib @Cyberview Resort & Spa

And yes we are here! For 2 nights. Pre-book on hotel's website for Superior Chalet but been told during the check-in that Superior chalet is not available at the moment so guess what, our room has been upgraded to Executive Deluxe for no extra charge. How cool was that! Yeah I know I know. Hehe. The room is huge and super nice and it has a four-poster bed. Super like. And our chalet is only few steps away from the pool. Rezeki Adib n Sara. Its Adib's first outing and first hotel stays. Anyway I am so gonna enjoy our stay here in Cyberview. Had bfast earlier at Verandah Restaurant and strolling around the resort and surveying the pool area. Sara had her 1st round of swimming with MM while I bathed Adib in our room. Later will go to IOI putrajaya for lunch.  For now, lets cherish the moment and enjoy the photos while i'm joining the kids and hubsy for a nap. Later. Hope you guys have a splendid school break too.

Ordinary Spa at Penjara Wanita Kajang

Ordinary ke? Tak lah ordinary sangat. It is just a typical Balinese concept Spa. But what makes it ordinary is the location and the Spa therapist itself. It is the Penjara Wanita Kajang Spa I was mentioning about :) Went to these spa last week because I need a back massage so badly. Luckily I have an old friend working at Penjara Wanita Kajang as warden. I did asked her the procedure and such. She offered to make a reservation for me instead. Easy peasy :). So, I just went there and waited for her to bring me to the spa. I did not take photo at the spa (we are allowed to take pictures but I forgot to do so. Excited sangat). It is a beautiful place and the therapists were very nice to us. I had a splendid time and enjoyed the 1 hour full body massage of mine.My therapist was a 30-yrs-old Sulawesi-an and she's also a mother to a 6-yrs-old daughter.  The price is way too cheaper compared to the common spa. I paid RM40 for full body massage (traditional massage) an...

I am excited to update this dusty blog. But what shall I write about? - I don't know. Being in the third trimester - 36 weeks to be exact is no kidding. I guess when you're aging and pregnant you feel lethargic very easily. Maybe I am not FIT enough? But still, you have to deal with what you have to do at work and home instead. You could not complain much. Errands have to be run. I still cook for dinner, almost every day. Laundry, no exception. Cleaning, yes but once in a while though. Sara has been busy. I think she's still adapting to her new schedule. Previous 2-3 weeks was hectic for her. Despite a tight schedule at school, she had to attend numbers of rehearsal sessions for her first and second #TARI show. She looks tired, or so I think. But I can see that she had a pleasant time. You know the feeling when you've got the chance to do things that you fond of. That's more like it. Counting days to Adib's 3rd birthday. It's on April 28th. May this ...
