Dish with hanalicious- Homemade Black Pepper Steak

I feel like preparing something for dinner. Not just any food, but a comfort one.

So there I was, Google-ing these and that and finally I decided to make black pepper steak out of scratch. It was easy and quick to prepare. I just took less than 45 minutes to get it done.

Here's the recipe.

Homemade Black pepper Steak

4 x tenderloin / sirloin steak / any steak strip
Marinade :
4 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp tomato / chili sauce
1 tbsp black pepper

For black pepper sauce
 1 onion
1 tbsp butter / olive oil
2 tbsp flour + 3 cups water (mix altogether)
3 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp tomato sauce
1 tbsp black pepper
button mushrooms
salt

Combine the meat with the marinade and set aside for 3-4 hours.
Pan fry the marinated steak for 1 minute each side.
Pre-heat oven to 160 degree Celcius. Bake the steak for 15-20 minutes depending on how you want your steak to be (medium or well done).
*you can either grill or cook in a pan (10 minutes each side).

Heat butter in a pan, add onion and stir-fry till fragrant. Then add the mixture of flour and water.
Add all sauces, black pepper and mushrooms. Cook for several minutes. Add salt to taste.
Once done, pour onto baked steak.

serve with cabbage+capsicum and potato salad

Dinner is ready!

And on top of that, dinner for Sara was ready beforehand.

Porridge + carrot + cauliflower + fish fillet

And oh, heading back to kedah today. Will be on holiday for 4 days. Will be back to work on monday and continue with the hols from tuesday 'til friday. Ouh such a bliss to have such a getaway.

Sara & Adib @Cyberview Resort & Spa

And yes we are here! For 2 nights. Pre-book on hotel's website for Superior Chalet but been told during the check-in that Superior chalet is not available at the moment so guess what, our room has been upgraded to Executive Deluxe for no extra charge. How cool was that! Yeah I know I know. Hehe. The room is huge and super nice and it has a four-poster bed. Super like. And our chalet is only few steps away from the pool. Rezeki Adib n Sara. Its Adib's first outing and first hotel stays. Anyway I am so gonna enjoy our stay here in Cyberview. Had bfast earlier at Verandah Restaurant and strolling around the resort and surveying the pool area. Sara had her 1st round of swimming with MM while I bathed Adib in our room. Later will go to IOI putrajaya for lunch.  For now, lets cherish the moment and enjoy the photos while i'm joining the kids and hubsy for a nap. Later. Hope you guys have a splendid school break too.

Ordinary Spa at Penjara Wanita Kajang

Ordinary ke? Tak lah ordinary sangat. It is just a typical Balinese concept Spa. But what makes it ordinary is the location and the Spa therapist itself. It is the Penjara Wanita Kajang Spa I was mentioning about :) Went to these spa last week because I need a back massage so badly. Luckily I have an old friend working at Penjara Wanita Kajang as warden. I did asked her the procedure and such. She offered to make a reservation for me instead. Easy peasy :). So, I just went there and waited for her to bring me to the spa. I did not take photo at the spa (we are allowed to take pictures but I forgot to do so. Excited sangat). It is a beautiful place and the therapists were very nice to us. I had a splendid time and enjoyed the 1 hour full body massage of mine.My therapist was a 30-yrs-old Sulawesi-an and she's also a mother to a 6-yrs-old daughter.  The price is way too cheaper compared to the common spa. I paid RM40 for full body massage (traditional massage) an...

..

I am excited to update this dusty blog. But what shall I write about? - I don't know. Being in the third trimester - 36 weeks to be exact is no kidding. I guess when you're aging and pregnant you feel lethargic very easily. Maybe I am not FIT enough? But still, you have to deal with what you have to do at work and home instead. You could not complain much. Errands have to be run. I still cook for dinner, almost every day. Laundry, no exception. Cleaning, yes but once in a while though. Sara has been busy. I think she's still adapting to her new schedule. Previous 2-3 weeks was hectic for her. Despite a tight schedule at school, she had to attend numbers of rehearsal sessions for her first and second #TARI show. She looks tired, or so I think. But I can see that she had a pleasant time. You know the feeling when you've got the chance to do things that you fond of. That's more like it. Counting days to Adib's 3rd birthday. It's on April 28th. May this ...
