Dish with hanalicious- Homemade Black Pepper Steak

I feel like preparing something for dinner. Not just any food, but a comfort one.  So there I was, Google-ing these and that and finally I decided to make black pepper steak out of scratch. It was easy and quick to prepare. I just took less than 45 minutes to get it done.  Here's the recipe. Homemade Black pepper Steak 4 x tenderloin / sirloin steak / any steak strip Marinade : 4 tbsp oyster sauce 1 tbsp tomato / chili sauce 1 tbsp black pepper For black pepper sauce  1 onion 1 tbsp butter / olive oil 2 tbsp flour + 3 cups water (mix altogether) 3 tbsp oyster sauce 1 tbsp ketchup 1 tbsp tomato sauce 1 tbsp black pepper button mushrooms salt Combine the meat with the marinade and set aside for 3-4 hours. Pan fry the marinated steak for 1 minute each side.  Pre-heat oven to 160 degree Celcius. Bake the steak for 15-20 minutes depending on how you want your steak to be (medium or well done). *you can either grill or cook in a pan (10 minutes each side

Dish with hanalicious- Homemade beef patty

Requested by someone.  Anyway, I got the recipe when watching the Dish with Vivien @AFC channel.  I was apparently looking for this recipe at the moment. What a coincidence. Homemade Beef patty (Hamburger) 1/2 kg meat (can make up to 4 patties) or minced meat 2 eggs 1 capsicum / pepper (diced) 1 chopped onion (finely diced) 2 tbsp flour salt and black pepper olive oil / butter / margarine Add beef, egg, flour and chopped onion and capsicum in large mixing bowl. Add in the salt and pepper to taste. Blend the ingredients together by mixing with hands. Divide the mixture into 4 and form into patties using your hands.  Brown the burgers on both sides and put into the oven on medium heat. Cook 160 degree Celsius in the oven for 8-15 minutes depending on personal taste for rare to well-doneness. If using a pan/ grill pan add a little oil to the pan on medium heat.  my portion (topped with spagetti sauce and mozarella cheese)  tak habis makan so bawak bekal ke office. re-heat in

preparing lunch for sara

It is always a pleasure to preparing meal for my little girl. One of the reason is she loves to eat. Be it porridge, fruit stew, vegetables, you name it. She never refuses unless it is banana. Yup. My baby is not a big fan of banana. I don't know why. Sedap je kan pisang. Tapi bila dia makan terkulat-kulat muka dia nak menelan. Last2 after few spoons she refuse to open her mouth. Tak minat. I made her porridge everyday. Yes, I half-cook the porridge during night time and pre-heat it before off to work.  During the weekend, I start preparing for her food after having breakfast, which is around 10:30 a.m. Usually the porridge will take about 30-45 minutes to be cook. Hmm.. mmg berjanggut jugak la. I will do the house chores (while sara's taking a nap) while waiting for the porridge to be cook. Porridge with carrot, potato and fish - Basuh bersih segenggam beras (depends on how much your kid will eat). Tanak bersama carrot yang dihiris nipis dan kentang. - Bila bubur dah men
